Breaking Into Pastels

H&M Blush Pink Bike Pattern Top

Lately I find myself a little picky towards colors I include in my wardrobe. Being the black & white aficionado that I am, beginning to incorporate a more subtle color palette has been a good start. Shades like blush pink, olive green, and pale blue are colors currently catching my attention.

Known as Rose Quartz, this muted blush pink is recognized as one of 2016’s Pantone Colors along with Serenity — a pale, periwinkle blue. Incorporating a liiiitle bit of black is my way of holding on tight to this classic neutral and it created a nice balance with the pastel shades in this outfit. I know, “pastels + spring how predictable” BUT this timeless combo really goes hand-in-hand.

As I continue to explore new habits, activities, and places it’s serving as daily inspiration to express my personality. Receiving and transmitting better energy has enlightened my mood and conveys through my style. Sometimes stepping outside of the norm is exactly what we need.
