Layering creatively with color and a fall-dominated outfit from head-to-toe.
– SHOP THE LOOK –
It’s true — autumn is known for its rich neutrals and earthy tones but upon coming across this cherry red vest, I knew instantly it would be a must-have to wear on my last day of London Fashion Week. My goal was to create a daytime appropriate outfit with pops of color and print.
The all around leaf print on this Vince Camuto tie neck blouse is made up of all the right shades, contrasting beautifully and stylishly with the vest. By pairing with a camel brown faux suede A-line skirt, the look remained daytime ready and added a retro, late 1960’s/early 1970’s vibe to it ❤. Not only is faux suede trending for fall, brown is a great neutral alternative to black for daytime occasions and is making a strong comeback this season. Opting for a skirt creates the illusion of elongated legs, especially when wearing a knee-length vest (also available in petite). Speaking of the faux suede & brown craze, these peep toe color block heels added the finishing touch to this look.
Each item is a statement piece of its own and although this may seem like a busy outfit, with a little creativity and styling inspiration the look came together perfectly. I love how each piece could never look the same twice, versatility is key! Three different trends, one outfit… Anything is possible 😉
How would you style a busy, colorful look?
