It isn’t a New Year’s without closing out the current year and welcoming a new one in some sparkle and sass. This crushed velvet top is suitable for such, with its rich dark blue color and subtle feminine off-the-shoulder neckline. A peplum top provides an ideal fit as it accentuates and conceals all the right areas with plenty of options to style. This velvet one is in a 1X and still has a good amount of wiggle room to feel comfortable in and a little stretch in the long sleeves.

The look wouldn’t be complete without a couple of statement accessory pieces, like this new Baublebar bib necklace I was eager to put to great use! It actually comes with a gorgeous choker made up of clear crystals but I decided to wear the bib on its own (it’s already bold as it is. Ha!). Another eye-catching favorite I had to include was this embellished faux suede crossbody purse. Sometimes, all it takes is working with simple items and upgrading the look with statement pieces, colors, textures, fabrics, or patterns.

As 2017 is quickly approaching, I wanted to say THANK YOU ALL for the continued love, support and inspiration! Whether you’ve been following since day one (December marks 3 years of LTC) or a new follower, I appreciate the love! 2016 has been a magical year ✨ Stay chic and Happy New Year!
