I think it’s safe to say (per my previous post) hues of orange have rapidly grown on me. Maybe it’s the blooms, my daily dose of Vitamin C, or the breezy weather but all I know is this pop of citrus will have your aura g-l-o-w-i-n-g.
A trick to ease into the new season is by bringing out the natural warmth of your skintone. Normally, orange isn’t a shade I’d gravitate towards — I always felt it made me look too yellow. That perspective changed completely upon discovering a variety of tones within orange.
Start with the eyes — keep it natural and clean by lightly swiping a cool bronzer (yes, bronzer) all over the lid up to the crease with a blending brush. Physician Formula’s Butter Bronzer is perfect for this! Creating a *pop* for the eyes is simple, draw a winged liner using orange eyeshadow or in my case this Stila Liquid Liner in ‘Amber’. Orange will have your eyes looking lively & bright especially if yours are green.
To keep this monochromatic glowy look, add a pinch of bronzer and a peach blush to your cheeks. I’m wearing the ‘Terra Cotta’ blush by NYX and this adds a bronzed, glowy effect — think JLO. It can be tricky picking an orange lipstick. My advice is to swatch and try many on to take home the right shade with you. A winner for me is Maybelline’s ‘Electric Orange’ Color Sensational lipstick. It’s bright, hydrating and long-lasting.
Anybody else go through makeup phases? I’m really feeling this orange right now.
