The Eyes

Blended softly into my crease is usually a neutral shadow from the Lorac PRO Eyeshadow Palette #2 — it’s the palette I reach for every time. With a dark brown eyeshadow pencil, I line my eyes (top & bottom lash lines) followed by smudging it with a pencil brush for an effortless look. A brightening cream-color shadow goes right on the brow bone and finally lashes are curled & waterproof mascara is applied.

The Base on my Face

Now that humidity officially kicked in here (South FL), I keep it light on the face products typically reaching for a bb cream or medium coverage foundation. The Laura Mercier Candleglow has since been repurchased and put to great use! A key to looking awake is a brightening concealer, the pink salmon color neutralizes any darkness and is made for overall brightness. This one is amazing & crease-less! Over that goes a bit of concealer for an even shade. No primer, no setting spray, nada!

The Face, Cheeks & Lips

Setting the face with a light coverage face powder helps keep the oil at a minimum. Now to sculpt the face, an intense contour isn’t really my style but I do contour the hollows of my cheeks, sides of my nose, & under my chin with a cool-tone bronzer. For added dimension, I like to bronze around my face with a warmer bronzer like this Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer.

Monochromatic looks flow so nicely — flush the cheeks with a blush that compliments the eyeshadow on your crease. It’s either been golden-warm or subtle pink-mauves for me at the moment. Highlight is never a maybe! I love the glow & sparkle especially if everything else is lighter — Becca’s ‘Opal’ is an everyday (I repeat) go-to. Monochromatic applies to my choice of lip color too — it keeps the look balanced and easier to follow. When I’m feeling sassier than usual, a lip gloss makes the cut! Otherwise, it’s balms or lip stains for me.

Although my makeup looks change slightly everyday depending on the look I’m wearing or where I’m going, the process stays cohesive throughout. I hope this tutorial helped answer any questions, but let me know if there’s something you’d like to know more of. Also, any similar products to try for this kind of summer everyday makeup routine?
