Hint: sometimes maxi, midi or mini, flared or straight, printed or textured — s k i r t s. New Spring-inspired skirts quickly became a staple in my wardrobe. I blame their flare and ease in versatility.

Embracing change, whether physical, mental, or emotional, has been a new practice for me in which for once I am enjoying. In case you were wondering, I recently had a few inches of hair chopped off, and something about recent gray, gloomy days and shorter hair that are inspiring me to live freely.

Holiday Party Glam

The holidays are quickly approaching and that means getting dolled up and attending holiday parties! Being on a budget & all (no shame), I like to find different ways I can upgrade current pieces in my closet as opposed to shopping for new stuff. Like this teal bodycon mini skirt for example, is the same one from my previous post. Solid colored pieces are convenient because they can easily be worn repeatedly in more ways than one.

This black lace top with tassels around the lower hem has been sitting in my closet for 8 months and never been worn. Not only is it trendy, but it adds a nice touch of glam paired with the skirt. I opted to wear a nude cami under it and added more sass by wearing these gorgeous blush-nude platforms.

See how easily I managed to upgrade the look of the skirt? Grab some chic jewelry, add volume/waves to your hair, and of course a pop of lip never hurts either. Easy steps to follow for that holiday/cocktail party you weren’t sure what to wear to 😉
