The kind of dress to conquer this windy month of March is one that’s long enough to avoid flying up but one that also shows off our (much needed tanned) legs. Despite being 4 days shy from the first day of Spring (3/20/17) my mindset is transitioning into the very much awaited new season in subtle floral prints.
Lately I find myself a little picky towards colors I include in my wardrobe. Being the black & white aficionado that I am, beginning to incorporate a more subtle color palette has been a good start. Shades like blush pink, olive green, and pale blue are colors currently catching my attention.
We have yet to enter the month of March, but there’s no doubt I have already programmed myself with a Spring mindset. The breezy, sunny weather makes for a smoother transition to a brighter color palette, not to mention the option to give your legs a breather has FINALLY arrived. In the past few weeks, I’ve been all about skirts, shorts, and dresses of all lengths and styles. On a recent shopping trip to the mall, I spotted a pair of à la mode sailor shorts that I HAD to add to my collection of bottoms.
I know what you’re thinking “But with Spring on your mind, why black?”. Well, let me clarify… I can’t ever get enough of black! If you haven’t noticed by now, I love a good black & white print not only because of it’s clean and sophisticated appearance but also for the versatility. Let me begin by telling you how comfortable these firm-stretch sailor shorts are! With snap buttons running along each side and a high-waist rise, they can’t get any more fashion forward. Pairing with a crop top helps keep the main focus on this sassy sailor-style that’s trending for Spring/Summer ’16. What I love even more is how resourceful they are, as you can easily wear them for a casual or dressier occasion.
